Your car arrives at the Port of Colombo within 30–45 days from the date your LC is opened. We then clear it, deliver it to you and complete the registration.

The prices on our cars for sale are approximate totals that include duty, taxes and clearing, so you can see what the car will cost on the road. Payments to Autosafe themselves exclude duty and government taxes, which you pay directly to the authorities when the car is cleared.

You pay a small advance to reserve the car. We then send a proforma invoice, and you open a letter of credit (LC) at any licensed commercial bank in Sri Lanka.

Modern cars rely on mechatronic technology, and much of the driving experience comes through communicating with the car. Cars from the UK come with their commands and greetings in English, rather than a language that would limit the experience. UK cars also conform to European safety standards, including minimum airbag requirements and other measures that keep the driver and passengers safe.

Electric cars don't produce the pollution associated with internal combustion engines. Electric vehicles are also exempt from the Vehicle Emission Testing Certificate when you renew the annual revenue licence.

There are three levels of charging. A normal charge from a 230V 15A domestic socket takes about 4–6 hours. Rapid charging takes around 15–30 minutes, and needs a special charger on a three-phase supply.
